Senior Pastor W.H. Benford II Reverend

Pastor Benford II was born and raised in Oklahoma and accepted his call to the ministry at the age of nine. Although he accepted his call at an early age he still had a typical childhood, excelling at sports and attending his high school prom. Pastor Benford attended the historic black University of Langston in Coyle, Oklahoma. He was called to his first pastorate at the Hope Memorial Baptist Church in Oklahoma City at the age of 20. He was also the Assistant Pastor of Union Baptist Church in Oklahoma for fourteen years before moving to Albuquerque in 2008 to pastor the prominent and national known Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where he has served for the past five years.

Pastor Benford has demonstrated his love for the members of Shiloh and the community right from the start, and has continued to express that love. He has a passion to visit the sick and shut-in on a weekly basis, along with numerous hospital visits to those in need of prayer or just a word of encouragement from their Pastor. The Lord keeps on doing great thing for him and his congregation.
Pastor Benford is the President of the Ministers Fellowship of Albuquerque & Vicinity. He is also involved in and attends all meeting of the Mt. Olive Baptist State Convention, and is the First-Vice Moderator for the New Hope District Association.

Pastor Benford travels around the country to our National Baptist Convention USA Inc., the National Congress of Christian Education, and the National Mid-Winter Board meetings to implicate us in the most current information, and convey this knowledge to our church and state on a national level.
Pastor W.H. Benford II is the proud father of three children Camille Jean-Marie, Nathaniel Lee and John Calvin.
